In 1986 Tom Lauck created Lauck Communications, an advertising agency and design firm dedicated to B2B technology clients

In 1995, in response to a growing demand for web design, the agency changed its name to imagination@work

In late 2005, imagination@work, now a full-service advertising / emarketing firm, once again changed its focus and its name.

The new company, Creative-Ops represents a new breed of agency dedicated to providing a knowledgeable, full-service creative team, local project managers, lead generation specialists, copywriters and designers, and outsourced production and pricing.

March 20, 2006 - UltraDNS Chooses Creative-Ops for Integrated Marketing Campaign

Creative-Ops has been chosen by UltraDNS as their full-service creative operations agency. The initial assignment will be a website redesign, followed by a review of all outbound marketing materials, including email, search-engine management, collateral materials, advertising and direct mail.

UltraDNS provides managed DNS services to companies around the world. The company:

March 10, 2006 - Creative-Ops Strengthens Operations Management with Sophisticated Creative Management Software

Creative-Ops has implemented powerful online creative management software —used by some of largest agencies in the world — to connect client team members with our staff, streamlining the management and implementation of all projects. For many clients, this software could make the difference between making a critical deadline or missing one.

The software, developed by Infowit Corporation, will facilitate project management and deadline management, while providing clients with online review of proofs and comps, project requests, job status, and problem tracking.

January 15, 2006 – Creative-Ops Partners with Emma

Creative-Ops has agreed to co-brand Emma® web-based emarketing services. Emma includes everything needed to manage email marketing and communications from start to finish. It's a unique platform designed to bring style and sophistication to email marketing and communications. The service itself combines easy self-serve features, custom-designed brand templates, real-time response tracking, and audience-building features.

January 10, 2006 – Creative-Ops Launches MarketFocus™ and MarketAction™

In response to today's more competitive, leaner, and immediate marketing environment, Creative-Ops has launched two new programs, MarketFocus™ and MarketAction™, available immediately to new and existing clients.

The firm’s MarketFocus™ program provides a systematic review of your company's marketing and sales processes to identify the holes in your lead generation process and the gaps, disparities, and misunderstandings that exist between marketing and sales. Findings and recommendations provide clients with an action plan for coordinating marketing activities that multiplies their opportunities, leverages their assets, and maximizes their return on investment.

January 10, 2006 – Award-winning San Jose Agency Imagination@work Expands, changes name to Creative-Ops

Imagination@work, with nearly 20 years experience developing award-winning, results-oriented creative marketing projects has a new name – Creative-Ops – and an expanded mission to deliver online and Print creative production services to a growing market.

In addition to the new name, the company has expanded its core capabilities to include broader emarketing services, lead generation solutions, and outsourced web development, and introduced two programs, MarketFocus™ and MarketAction™ that streamline market strategy and market production services. September 5, 2005 – Wyse Technology Selects Creative-Ops

As Wyse Technology assembled a new Corporate Communications team, they also looked for additional creative and production support. Initial projects handled by Creative-Ops will focus on supporting a rigorous trade show schedule and a Free Vespa promotion the company is offering to prospects who try Wyse’s latest product offerings.

June 15, 2005 – Creative-Ops Adds Three B2B Clients

New business efforts paid dividends for Creative-Ops, as they landed three business-to-business clients at the same time. PCS Janitorial selected Creative-Ops to design a new website for the company, redo corporate identity, and begin a pay-per-click promotional campaign. Southern Wine Online hired Creative-Ops consultants to evaluate their emarketing efforts and propose improvements. Finally, Ultriva, which makes kanban manufacturing software, picked Creative-Ops to handle a redesign of their corporate identity and website. Concurrent with the corporate overhaul, Creative-Ops will redesign Ultriva’s sales literature to reflect the company’s new corporate messaging.

February 5, 2005 – Creative-Ops Supports Project Cornerstone

To help Project Cornerstone increase awareness of its recent Developmental Assets survey of 14,000 4th–12th graders at 95 schools across Santa Clara County, Creative-Ops developed a engaging four-page information package, which presented an overview of this non-profit organization, as well as a capsule summary of survey results.

July 1, 2004 – Tom Lauck named President of BMA’s Norcal Chapter

After serving on the Business Marketing Association’s Board for three years as webmaster, Tom Lauck, President and owner of Creative-Ops, was named President of the BMA’s Northern California Chapter. Established in 1970, the Northern California Chapter of the BMA includes many of the best and brightest business-to-business marketers in Silicon Valley. As President, Tom will oversee the organization’s membership drive, the development of a new website, new corporate identity, signage and collateral, as well as all outbound marketing efforts.

June 10, 2003 - Creative-Ops Brings MiLan Technology "Out of the Wilderness"

MiLan Technology, Inc. picked Creative-Ops to handle their advertising, sales promotion and web design. Initial efforts by Creative-Ops will include an advertising campaign in reseller publications such as Business Solutions Magazine. The first ad in the series will promote MiLan's wireless networking products. Concurrent with the advertising projects, Creative-Ops will redesign MiLan's sales literature to reflect MiLan's new corporate messaging. A website redesign is planned for first quarter '04.

May 27, 2003: Sunbright Goes National with Creative-Ops

Sunbright Construction, a Bay Area developer that handles remodels, interior design, landscaping and custom decks, will be expanding to offer these services across the country. The company selected Creative-Ops to design a web site for them that describes the full range of their services and presents a portfolio of their recent work.

April 25, 2003: Replico West Moves to Creative-Ops

Replico West, a packaging, printing, and fulfillment company for broadband companies and computer software firms, picked Creative-Ops to help them with repositioning and rebranding. The first implementation of that work will be via a redesign of the company's website, followed by direct mail, advertising and new sales literature.

March 31, 2003: Creative-Ops a Winner in 2003 Summit Creative Awards

Creative-Ops's corporate website landed a Bronze award in the 2003 Summit Creative Awards, competing against over 3,000 entries from around the world.

March 15, 2003: Telewave, Inc. Taps Creative-Ops

Telewave, Inc., a manufacturer of antennas and microwave components with a worldwide customer base, selected Creative-Ops to redesign the company's aging website and incorporate their extensive product catalog.

October 12, 2002: POWER Engineers Picks Creative-Ops

POWER Engineers Automation Group, based in Boise Idaho, chose Creative-Ops as their strategic marketing, advertising and design agency. The company provides complete systems automation and is a leading provider of engineering services. Initial ads in a new campaign will focus on their proprietary project management software and feature the headline: Repeatable Success!

June 7, 2002: Foothill-De Anza Community College District Chooses Creative-Ops for Website Overhaul

The Foothill-De Anza Community College District, which supervises and manages both Silicon Valley Community Colleges, picked Creative-Ops to rebuild and rebrand their website. The site will consolidate the affairs of eight departments, while providing visual continuity, streamlined navigation, and a comprehensive content management system.

January 7, 2002: SATO America Switches to Creative-Ops

Advertising and design agency Creative-Ops announced today that they had been selected as the agency of record for SATO America, Inc. SATO America had formerly been handled by Battenberg, Fillhardt & Wright, Inc. of San Jose, California.

Creative-Ops will start immediately on projects ranging from advertising to direct mail to sales promotion materials for SATO, which offers a full line of bar code label printers.
According to Tom Lauck, president and creative director of Creative-Ops: "Basically, SATO wanted more 'bang for the buck.' Because of our low overhead and competitive pricing, we will be able to stretch their advertising dollars much further than ever before." SATO's interest in new creative approaches initially spurred their agency search.

"Creative-Ops seemed to understand our business and where we wanted to go," stated Nikki Aurin, Marketing Communications Manager for SATO. "Their creativity in both direct mail and advertising was an important factor in our decision."

May 15, 2001: Creative-Ops Annual Report Nabs First Place at CalSPRA Awards

Advertising and design agency Creative-Ops announced today they had received a first-place Award of Excellence for an Annual Report created and produced for San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD). The report was submitted to the California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA) 2001 Communications Contest and judged both on its design and overall communications value. The report represented the District with the headline: We Are the World.

According to Tom Lauck, president and creative director of Creative-Ops: "SJUSD wanted educators, partners, administrators, students, and parents to understand the District's enormous challenges in working with the diverse culture in their District."
