sound familiar?Marci joined a company as marketing manager on the eve of a merger and subsequent name change. She quickly realized the opportunity to revamp the company website. But it had to be done quickly. She called a project manager at Creative-Ops. The next day, our team met with Marci to discuss creative considerations, functionality, and priorities. By agreeing to deliver functionality in stages and compressing our development process, we were able to deliver a robust website in half the normal time. |
A tight development processWhen you outsource your web redesign project to Creative-Ops, you're in good hands. To ensure a timely, successful, implementation, we follow a tight development process that encompasses seven phases: Phase I — Business Strategy DevelopmentCreative-Ops will meet with the your team members to clarify objectives, identify subjective preferences, discuss possible thematic approaches, and uncover potential problems. It's our time to get to know you, your company, and how your business strategy ties into your website. From this discussion, we'll be able to develop a more comprehensive website proposal that includes milestones and costs. Phase II — Information Architecture PlanningBased on the input from our meetings with your staff, Creative-Ops will develop a site map that depicts how we think your new website should be organized. This step helps everyone to clarify navigation requirements and prioritize information. Each page will be identified as static or dynamic. For dynamic pages, we’ll clarify technology requirements and address the feasibility of adding development modules for content management, marketing, or ecommerce as necessary. Phase III — Creative DevelopmentWith a site map approved, Creative-Ops' designers will begin development of creative concepts that reflect your business strategy, the ideal user experience, and visual identity. We generally present home page designs in our initial meetings and follow those up with secondary category pages to show design consistency. We'll encourage you to discuss and review these concepts both during the meeting and afterward, by as many members of the client team as deemed necessary. Phase IV — ImplementationWith approved designs, Creative-Ops will begin HTML development of the home page, as well as templates for secondary and tertiary pages for each section of the website. We'll coordinate any outsourced application development to save you money while preserving site objectives. A working prototype is deployed prior to final assembly and production to keep everyone on-target and refine issues. Phase V — TestingFinally, when site development is complete, we'll set up your site in a protected directory on our servers, so that you can preview the site without prematurely exposing it to the outside world. We'll conduct platform, browser and functionality testing while you review content. Phase VI — Final DeliveryWhen all browser-specific issues have been corrected, we’ll deliver the final site to you or load it directly onto a server. We also maintain a current back-up of your site, ready to re-stage at a moment's notice. At this point, you can add any additional content that wasn't already developed by Creative-Ops. Phase VII — Ongoing SupportAt Creative-Ops, we're interested in a long-term business relationship. That's why we offer an ongoing support program to ensure that you achieve a measurable return on your website investment. This program includes ongoing visitor traffic analysis and management of your search engine positioning, as well as Internet business insights and recommendations. It's part of our commitment to make your business more profitable.
