ClickNet's e-Server Security software had received generous press from trade journals but sales were slow. They asked Creative-Ops to create and develop a direct mailing that might spark inquiries and sales. We used humor to attract the attention of reticent CIOs who, despite the flood of viruses and worms attacking corporate computer systems, often believed that their companies were somehow immune. The idea worked, generating immediate response, presentations, and sales.
